What must a UK invoice include?

Your business name and address, the client, a unique invoice number, the date, what the work was and the price. If you are VAT registered, also your VAT number, the VAT rate and the VAT amount.

Do I add VAT?

Only if you are VAT registered. Then most building work is 20%. If you are not registered, do not charge VAT and do not show a VAT number.

Is my invoice saved?

No. The details are used to make the PDF and are not stored on our side. Your browser keeps a copy so you can carry on, or move it into a free account.
